Harrogate & Knaresborough

We have a pleasant morning in Harrogate famous for its tea shops.followed by the afternoon in Knaresborough.

Harrogate is a pleasant spa town to the south-east of the Yorkshire Dales, famous for its tea shops, flower shows, turkish baths, antique shops, and the Harrogate International Conference Centre. The town is also famous for its associations with the great English crime novelist Agatha Christie, who "disappeared" here for a few days in the 1930s (!)
The river Nidd runs through the village of Knaresborough and set up on the hill side is the remains of a castle. The view from here is stunning. There are a number of activities to enjoy in Knaresborough including boating on the river and a trip to Mother Shipton's Cave.
